The Asahi beer company building in Asakusa, Tokyo

What is THAT?

In the Asakusa section of Tokyo, there's a prime example of the strange ugliness of Japanese architecture. The thing at the top of that building is supposed to be the golden flame of a torch. What does it look like to you? Leave me a comment and tell me!

I like that kind of stuff! It gives a city some personality!

I have a picture of this building as well so I was looking around on the internet to get some information on it. What I saw was that the "flame" was supposed to symbolize the foam on the top of a beer as it was being blown off. And the holes in the building light up at night to bring to mind bubbles in the beer.
