Claes Oldenburg's work would be very interesting to Japanese people since they have always been the masters of miniaturization. Oldenburg is a "Pop Artist" still living - of the same vintage as Andy Warhol. His idea to make us pay attention to ordinary things was in the same vein. Instead of doing multiples, he did huge versions. He was also the inventor of soft sculpture. You should see his soft fabric french fries falling from the bag!

Yeah, oddball stuff is quite common around here. Still, it can be quite fun.

It was raining pretty hard that day. A few hours later it was really coming down hard. Unfortunately, it's gonna be like that a lot for the next month or so :-(
